#DIY EASTER π° CAKE

April 12th, 2020, Easter Sunday.
Happy Easter everyone, near and far.
Here is a #diy cake that holds a ton of sentimental value to me.
Flashback CIRCA 1970βs -
Using a cookbook my grandmother passed down to my mother, who then passed it down to me -
three generations have been making this cake since 1977!
2002 -
At almost 24 years old, I am blessed to be able to share even more traditional memories with my mama. - love her so much! This one was extremely special! π·
#DIY EASTER π° CAKE!
HERE IS WHAT I USED ππΌ
β’β’ 2 boxes @pillsbury traditional yellow cake
β’β’ 6 π₯
β’β’ 2 cups water
β’β’ 1 cup oil
β’β’ 2 jars of frosting
HERE IS WHAT I DID ππΌ
β’ bake for 35-40 minutes at 350.
β’ let cool for 30-45 minutes.
β’ one cake is for the face, one is to cut for the ears and bowtie.
β’ frost.
decorate using Twizzlers, dots, & peppermints - or whatever candy of your choosing!
Its such a fun + creative activity to do with loved ones or your kiddies! I am forever grateful to hold a piece of my grandmother within a cookbook. blessed.
