#DIY EASTER 🐰 CAKE

Say hello to Mr. Rabbit πŸ’“

April 12th, 2020, Easter Sunday.

Happy Easter everyone, near and far.

Here is a #diy cake that holds a ton of sentimental value to me.

Flashback CIRCA 1970’s -

Using a cookbook my grandmother passed down to my mother, who then passed it down to me -

three generations have been making this cake since 1977!

2002 -

At almost 24 years old, I am blessed to be able to share even more traditional memories with my mama. - love her so much! This one was extremely special! πŸŒ·

#DIY EASTER πŸ° CAKE!

HERE IS WHAT I USED πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

β€’β€’ 2 boxes @pillsbury traditional yellow cake

β€’β€’ 6 πŸ₯š

β€’β€’ 2 cups water

β€’β€’ 1 cup oil

β€’β€’ 2 jars of frosting

HERE IS WHAT I DID πŸ‘‡πŸΌ

β€’ bake for 35-40 minutes at 350.

β€’ let cool for 30-45 minutes.

β€’ one cake is for the face, one is to cut for the ears and bowtie.

β€’ frost.

  • decorate using Twizzlers, dots, & peppermints - or whatever candy of your choosing!

Its such a fun + creative activity to do with loved ones or your kiddies! I am forever grateful to hold a piece of my grandmother within a cookbook. blessed.

Finding the light in all our darkest situations, I hope you all are doing the same.

Happy Easter weekend, enjoy. stay safe.
