International Women's Day

Who runs the world?! GIRLS!

Happy International Women’s Day to all of my extraordinary ladies out there!

I wanted to write regarding this auspicious day because, well... why not? We deserve to be recognized, we deserve to be celebrated, and we deserve all that we have going for us & more.

I am so honored to be a woman who holds such values like determination, and independence so close to her heart. For many of you who follow my journey on Instagram, you have all seen my post regarding this day! If you haven’t (go and follow me - @krystlecarrissa) BUT:

Power is in the eyes of the beholder✨

I am:

#strong

#powerful

#independent & so #kickass

More power to us women, who help others rise above! Today I celebrate US - may we continue to be extraordinary women, may we know them, & may we raise them

Being a woman in today’s society is not the most direct thing to be, but our time is NOW. It is impressive to see a woman endure all life has to throw at her, yet never give up on what her heart desires. I am so blessed to have multiple women in my life who have taught and spread their knowledge on me. I am who I am because of the influential, innovative, intelligent friends, sisters, peers, mentors and most importantly my mother - who has shined a light on me never to give up, but to continue to strive for greatness, & to show men, us women are just as (& even more) robust, talented and powerful than they are. I look up to women who can stand on their own, those who DON'T need a man to define who they are, and especially those who are kick ass in every way, shape and form.

Let us share our thoughts and ideas. Let us rise as one and become so powerful that not even the most potent force can stop us. & do you know why? Because WE, together - will be that strong force, and nothing can break that.

To all my lovely ladies, I would love to hear:

What does being a woman mean to you?

To me, being a woman means strength, dedication & power.

As a woman, I know I carry self-love, even when others may not love me the way they should.

Being a woman is, accepting all my flaws and flourishing from them.

Being a woman is proving the world wrong and allowing my skills to shine in my personal and work life, (even when those skills beat the statistic of a man).

It is empowering others and rising above all odds TOGETHER.

It is sharing, nurturing and creating a bond, a sisterhood, that allows women never to feel alone.

Being a woman to me is being me.

I am fierce, I am beautiful, but most importantly – I am me.

Self-love is the best kind of love girls, and when you can spread that love to other women, more power to you.

Here’s to strong women! May we know them, may we be them, may we raise them.

Happy IWD to us all!

xoxo,

Krystle
